The mission

We believe South Carolina deserves better than rising premiums, denied claims, and empty promises of “reform” that serve corporate profits instead of people. True reform starts with restoring trust, protecting citizens’ rights, and demanding accountability from those who shape our laws and our livelihoods.

We’re not politicians or lobbyists — we’re the people who pay the premiums, file the claims, and expect fairness in return. Together, we’re working to shine a light on how the system really works and to make sure future reforms serve the people they’re meant to protect.

This isn’t just about saying “enough.” It’s about building something better — a fair, transparent, and accountable insurance system that puts South Carolina families and small businesses first.

“A Hurricane Took My Roof — and My Faith in the System.”

Esther and her family are unfortunately all too familiar with the "Delay, Deny, Defend" technique used by Big Insurance. Both she and her parents had been faithful South Carolina policyholders for decades, but that didn't help when it came time to file claims. As water damage wreaked havoc on both of their houses in two separate instances, the Ildertons were left paying for tens of thousands of dollars worth of repairs out of pocket due to lack of cooperation and repeated denials from insurance companies.

To make matters worse, Esther found herself facing wildly increased rates and unable to receive a new quote from other companies for a homeowner's policy, all because she filed one claim over the span of many years.

What should have been two straightforward claims turned into a costly nightmare for this South Carolina family, and the same happens to so many of our neighbors every day. Watch the full story and join the fight against Big Insurance in South Carolina at the link in our bio. 🔗

Allstate doubled its Q4 net income 📈
Your insurance premiums helped pay for it 💸
Then they blame:
🌪️ Weather
🌡️ Climate change
⚖️ Lawyers
But not…corporate pricing decisions?
Another reminder of why insurance reform matters.
Consumers shouldn’t be the ATM for record profits.

Florida leaders promised so-called "reforms” would fix home insurance. Consumers don't agree.
📌 After “reform” in Florida:
❌ Claim denials jumped 40% → 47% (+17%)
⚖️ Lawsuits rose +24%
📍 Floridians sue 12x more often than homeowners in other states
And it gets uglier: reports show storm damage estimates slashed from $500,000 to $13,000.
Florida isn’t a model. It’s a warning. Don’t let politicians sell so-called “reforms” that protect insurers — not consumers.

They said the quiet part out loud: “tort reform” doesn’t lower premiums.
Now here are the receipts:
📍 Florida passed tort reform in 2023
💸 Drivers pay $3,884/year (vs $2,023/year in SC)
📈 Rates jumped +31.7% in 2023 and +4.3% in 2024
❌ No meaningful savings for drivers after HUGE increases
South Carolina shouldn’t copy a failed experiment.
